Terms of Service
1. About these terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Rumo ("the Service"), a conversational assistant operated over WhatsApp by [Brasil Co. legal name to be confirmed] ("Brasil Co.", "we", "us", "our"), CNPJ [to be confirmed], with registered office at [address to be confirmed], São Paulo, Brazil.
By using Rumo you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. What Rumo is — and what it is not
Rumo is a conversational assistant intended to support personal reflection, goal-setting, and the user's own exploration of values, wellness, and intentional living. Rumo's responses are generated by artificial intelligence.
Rumo is not a substitute for qualified professional advice. In particular, and without limitation:
- Not medical advice. Rumo does not diagnose, treat, cure, mitigate, or prevent any medical or psychological condition. Anything Rumo says about wellness, nutrition, exercise, sleep, or the mind-body relationship is general informational content only. For any medical concern, consult a qualified healthcare professional.
- Not mental health treatment. Rumo is not a therapist, counsellor, psychologist, or psychiatrist, and using Rumo does not create any therapeutic, clinical, or counselling relationship. Rumo is not designed for use in mental health emergencies. If you are in crisis, contact your local emergency services or a qualified crisis helpline (in Brazil, CVV at 188 or chat at cvv.org.br).
- Not legal, financial, or tax advice. Rumo does not provide legal, financial, investment, accounting, or tax advice. Consult a qualified professional for such matters.
- Not religious or spiritual authority. Where Rumo engages with spiritual, religious, or values-based topics, it does so in support of your own chosen path, framework, or tradition. Rumo does not represent any religion, denomination, lineage, teacher, or spiritual authority, and nothing it says should be treated as doctrine, ruling, blessing, or endorsement by such an authority. For matters of spiritual practice, consult a qualified teacher or practitioner of your tradition.
3. AI limitations and your responsibility
Rumo's responses are generated by large language models and may be inaccurate, incomplete, out of date, or otherwise unsuitable for your circumstances. You are solely responsible for evaluating any information Rumo provides before relying on it or acting on it. Decisions about your life, health, finances, relationships, work, and spiritual practice remain your own.
4. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Rumo. By using the Service you confirm that you are 18 or older. If we become aware that a user is under 18, we will terminate access and delete their data.
Rumo is currently offered only to users with Brazilian (+55) mobile numbers and may not be available, or may be unsuitable, in other jurisdictions.
5. How you access Rumo
Rumo is accessed via WhatsApp. You may pause the Service at any time by sending the message STOP. You may permanently delete your data by sending the message DELETE. Both are case-insensitive. STOP pauses messaging without erasing your data; DELETE is irreversible. If you message Rumo again after a DELETE, you will be onboarded as a brand-new user, with no memory of any previous conversations.
6. Text messages only
Rumo currently processes text messages only. Other WhatsApp message types — images, voice notes, video, documents, stickers, location pins — are not processed and will not receive a response. See our Privacy Policy for details on how non-text messages are handled (briefly: dropped at our webhook layer, never downloaded from Meta, never stored).
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Rumo:
- for any unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, harassing, or harmful purpose;
- to attempt to extract, manipulate, or reverse-engineer the underlying models or system prompts;
- to impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity in any material way;
- in connection with the planning or commission of harm to yourself or another person;
- to generate or distribute illegal content or content that infringes another person's rights.
We may suspend or terminate access for any user who breaches these rules or otherwise misuses the Service.
8. Your content
You retain ownership of the messages you send to Rumo. By sending them, you grant Brasil Co. a limited, non-exclusive licence to process them for the purpose of operating the Service, including transmitting them to our processors (see our Privacy Policy). We do not sell your messages, and we do not use them to train third-party models without your explicit consent.
9. Service availability and changes
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that Rumo will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, and we may modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Service at any time, to the extent permitted under Brazilian law.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Brazilian law, Brasil Co., its directors, employees, and processors are not liable to you for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, opportunity, goodwill, or wellbeing, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service, whether based on contract, tort (including negligence), statute, or any other legal theory, and whether or not we have been informed of the possibility of such damage.
Our total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising from or relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you have paid us for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (b) R$ 50.00.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability or right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under Brazilian law, including consumer rights under the Brazilian Consumer Defense Code (Código de Defesa do Consumidor, Law nº 8.078/1990, the "CDC"), liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Brasil Co. for any claim, loss, liability, demand, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your unlawful use of the Service, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of any third party. This clause does not apply where its application would be inconsistent with consumer rights under the CDC.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change we will notify you via WhatsApp and — if you have an email address registered with us — also by email, before the change takes effect. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
13. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil. Any dispute arising from or in connection with these Terms or the Service will be resolved by the court of the consumer's domicile (foro do domicílio do consumidor), as guaranteed by the Brazilian Consumer Defense Code (Law nº 8.078/1990, Art. 101, I). This clause does not deprive you of any mandatory protection available under the law of your place of residence.
